Conversations on Loving God and Living Fully: A New Podcast
“Do this, and you will live.” (Luke 10:28)
We’re preparing to launch a new podcast rooted in a simple but demanding question Jesus once asked by implication:
What happens when we actually live the way He said to live?
The Luke 10:28 Podcast will explore what it looks like to love God with our whole selves and how that kind of love forms real human lives marked by depth, resilience, meaning, and vitality.
This podcast is grounded in The Luke 10:28 Model, a biblically faithful framework for Christian formation and flourishing, developed from Jesus’ own summary of the greatest commandment and His promise that a certain way of living leads to true life.
Love → Formation → Action → Life
That progression shapes every conversation.
What This Podcast Is (and Is Not)
This is not a podcast about having perfect theology, polished faith stories, or expert-level answers.
It is a space for honest, thoughtful conversations about:
How faith actually forms us over time
Where obedience has been costly, confusing, or life-giving
How loving God shapes our emotional lives, thinking, work, relationships, and wellbeing
What “flourishing” looks like when it is fruit, not the goal, of faithfulness
We take Jesus seriously when He says that how we love shapes how we live.
That means we pay attention not only to beliefs, but to formation: our inner life, habits, decisions, relationships, and embodied action.
The Framework Behind the Conversations
Each episode will be loosely grounded in one or more of the nine domains of the Luke 10:28 Model, which reflect both spiritual realities and lived human experience:
Loving the Lord as the orienting center of life
Loving God with heart, soul, mind, and strength
Loving others and loving ourselves as faithful responses to God
Doing what obedience looks like in real life
Receiving the promise: you will live
Rather than treating faith and wellbeing as competing priorities, the model shows how historic Christian theology and well-established psychological frameworks can describe the same reality from different angles: what wholehearted, embodied faith actually looks like in real human lives.
Flourishing, in this vision, is not something we chase.
It is something that emerges when our lives are aligned with God.
What You’ll Hear From Guests
Guests won’t be asked to perform or present expertise. Instead, they’ll be invited to reflect on questions like:
Where has your faith most deeply formed you?
Where did inner formation meet real-world action?
Where did obedience lead to growth, tension, or unexpected life?
How has loving God shaped your wellbeing, relationships, or work?
Honesty matters more than resolution.
Integration matters more than performance.
We’re interested in lived faith that has been tested, shaped, stretched, and sustained over time.
Why This Matters Now
Many Christians feel caught between two stories:
A faith story that emphasizes obedience but neglects the human cost
A wellbeing story that emphasizes flourishing but neglects God
Jesus offers a third way.
He does not separate love of God from life itself.
He promises that a certain way of living leads to life, not just eternal life someday, but a life that is truly alive now.
This podcast exists to explore that promise faithfully, carefully, and honestly.
